YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s son, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has announced his resignation from the Congress in the first step towards launching his own party. Jagan was the MP from Kadapa. His mother, Vijayalaxmi, has also resigned as MLA from Pulivendula Assembly seat.Mr. Reddy wrote an open letter to AICC president Sonia Gandhi informing her about his decision and expressing anguish at what he called the attempts of the party leaders to isolate and expel him.“I resign from primary membership of Congress and Lok Sabha. The AICC has insulted me repeatedly in the last 14 months. I was not treated with the respect I deserve. My father’s legacy was hijacked by others and I was not allowed to continue my Odarpu yatra,” said Jagan in his letter Since his father died, Jagan Mohan has been keen on projecting himself as a mass leader. Jagan has been defying Congress leadership by going on ‘Odarpu yatra’ (consolation) reportedly to meet and console the family members of people who committed suicide of died of shock following the death of his father YS Rajashekhar Reddy. Sakshi TV, a channel owned by Jagan, has also been very critical of Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party General Seceretary Rahul Gandhi.

Break Ke Baad Movie Review : It seems to be that breaking up and making up is all the rage this season, and the film Break ke Baad is a movie which shows how a couple who has grown up together, faces trouble and deals with it by breaking up. Debut director Danish Aslam has tried his level best to show a situation where a couple breaks up for good, and a relationship has come to a point where distance is essential.

The story revolves around the period after the break up and what happens to the couple once they do decide to be apart and subsequently Abhay decides to get married to someone else.Danish Aslam is good in his direction; picking up details and making the characters come alive. Imran Khan still has a problem with acting and at times he is wooden, but overall tolerable. But it is Deepika Padukone who steals this particular show and makes the character of Aaliya come alive. This movie also becomes a good watch thanks to a good supporting cast played by veteran actors like Naveen Nischol, Sharmila Tagore and Lilette Dubey. A nice movie, though the story is a tad predictable.

From that point,we are taken into seeing the lives of several characters, and the problems each encounters during that day.A young writer Mahesh who, though an UPite, born and brought up in Mumbai doesn't consider himself an outsider in Mumbai.He considers himself a true Indian and doesn't want himself to be associated with this war of communities.An auto rickshaw driver Ismail who belongs to neither of the community is very poor but poses to be a happy man who believes in living the way life leads to. His philosophy is to keep oneself always ready for anything. A couple Devesh and Pallavi, who are in love and, today Devesh is going to ask for her hand from her father, are an eye witness to the entire hijack of the bus, because they were traveling in the same bus. Sanju, Santosh, Govind studying in Benaras Hindu Vishwavidalaya are thickest of the friends, in spite of Sanju being a Maharashtrian and rest hailing from Bihar. But what happens when they see the news of the bus hijacked by Rahul Raj? In Bihar a 50 year old man of wisdom Thakur baba is scared as his son has gone to Mumbai but while this whole incident is taking place his son is not to be contacted.He fears the worst.When the cops shoot Rahul Raj down and its effect on the above characters makes us think that is this war of communities really worth? Devesh and Pallavi's love story starts to develop a crack and they split up. Ismail's rickshaw,his only source of livelihood, is being broken down in front of his eyes.This makes his life hell as he is unable to pay for his son's education and repay the loan taken for his autorickshaw.

Thakur baba finally gets to speak to his son,who is unknown to this whole hijack issue.Thakur baba is relieved as his son is alive but also sad that if its not his son then somebody else's son is shot.Govind starts seeing Sanju as an outsider amongst them and he even threatens to kill him.The situation arises where he is crippled and in the age his father was supposed to retire,Sanju gets retired. What about his future? Mahesh's thinking totally changes and he starts to live in fear and thinks himself to be an outsider in Mumbai,a minority community.Many of the characters switch their ideologies and it may surprise us the way they change. Exactly a month after this incident a big incident happened in Mumbai which took the entire world by surprise.

Terrorist attack on Taj hotel i.e. the infamous terrorist attack of 26/11.Though the terrorist were either shot or one of them captured, entire Mumbai were mourning of hundreds of lives lost.This started a movement against terrorism and the entire Mumbai and mumbaikars arranged a candle march to Taj.During this candle march all our major characters take part and in this they understand that it's not about their birthplace or difference of language but its for our country.India. Chiru Kannada Movie Review.

No doubt it is a film for the family but the snail pace first half is understandable by the audience shows director Mahesh Babu has not worked to keep the audience guessing. In the second half he loads with all the developments and stops at the railway station.The first half is terrible and second half is passable because of lovely songs and the beauty called Kriti Kharbanda, action of Chiranjeevi Saraja plus Rangayana Raghu emotional scenes and two lovely tunes from Giridhar and immaculate job from cameraman Sundaranath Suvarna.

The disenchanted youth from birth is Chiru (Chiranjeevi Sarja). He is an orphan and grows up with good deeds in life. The bad luck haunts him every time he wants to keep away from Madhu (Kriti Kharbanda). Madhu has a fiancé Dilip (Kiran). Both are not courageous to convince their parents on their marriage. Kriti daughter of Home Minister is seen with Chiru on a few occasions after becoming a friend in a disco jaunt. The PA (Bullet Prakash) to Home Minister (Rangayana Raghu) is given the task to trace the identity of the boy who is behind Madhu. When the meeting is quite often between Chiru and Madhu accidentally the PA to Home Minister troubles him. When Madhu is handed over to PA to Home Minister at this point Madhu pretend as lover to Chiru that further increases the problem for Chiru.

Putting down the goons who come to take away Madhu the macho youngster decide to unite Madhu with Dilip. When Dilip is about to tie the nuptial knot to Madhu it is time for Dilip to disagree with this match because he is coward. I cannot take on the Home Minister henchmen and lead a life he says.Chiru uses his brain and telephone the Home Minister and say that his daughter is in love with an IAS officer. Chiru is asked to bring both of them so that the grand marriage could be held.

Things go twisted and Madhu feels Chiru is her choice for life. Chiru by this time has developed lot of intimacy to Madhu. Finally it is as expected.Chiranjeevi Saraja the long shot hero of Kannada cinema has to improve in his dialogues. He is impressive in action but how come he has so much of strength – there should have been some justification to it.Kriti Kharbanda is very pretty and her expressions are good. She has tremendous features and future too.From the regular ruts of Rangayana Raghu we see a change in the role that is convincing from him.

Giridhar has given outstanding work in the music. Three are lovely and good in lyrical strength. The songs are well placed too. Ille elle Nalle…..song is very catchy and Kriti is very beautiful in a few sarees.Sundaranath Suvarana is flawless. He has kept the camera at right places and angles he has shown are pretty good.Worth a dekko!

I was lucky enough to get invited to a secret test screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I at the AMC River East in Chicago this afternoon. We weren't told what movie we would be seeing until seconds before it started, but my friends and I suspected that it may be Harry Potter due to the Warner Bros signs and the intense security. When producer David Heyman walked in, I was pretty sure what it would be. Director David Yates was also in attendance, and spent some time talking with fans outside the theatre after the film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I is a great continuation of the series, thematically and visually in line with films 5 and 6. Though it is a fast-paced film, with several nice setpieces and much-improved performances from the young cast, it does suffer from two major problems. First, it faithfully adapts the seventh book, including the book's own problems. The "camping in the wilderness" scenes become quite repetitive, and the attempts at drama/angst amongst the trio during these scenes comes off as tired. Also, the scenes involving the locket horcrux causing its wearer to be angry/aggressive are far too reminiscent of Lord of the Rings. All three young stars acquit themselves admirably, however, doing the best they can with the material. Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, in particular, are quite good. The second problem with the film, and this may be fixed by the time the final cut is released, is the editing. Some scenes feel utterly rushed and incoherent (Godric's Hollow, for example). Others go on for far too long (Ron becomes jealous, etc.). There are several flashes / dream sequences that demonstrate Voldemort's search for the Elder Wand. These are bizarrely edited and poorly executed. Luckily, they are just a small fraction of the film.

Despite these issues, this was a quality film on par with films 5 and 6, both of which I quite enjoyed. As with those films, the cinematography is beautiful. There are several creative and dramatic shots throughout the film, so that even if one gets bored, you could just stare in awe at the scenery. The beginning of the film is also quite exciting, including some hilarious scenes with multiple "Harry"s, and a series of great action sequences. The visual effects were not completely finished in these sequences, but I imagine it was quite close to what the final version will be. Another effective sequence involves the trio escaping to a small cafe in London, and a resulting fight that involves wands and spells but feels more like a shootout.

The film ends at a very appropriate spot, and though not exactly a "cliffhanger", left me greatly anticipating Part II.At the end of the film, we all filled out lengthy questionnaires regarding our opinion of the film overall (I gave it 4/5), as well as our likes/dislikes with the performances, scenes, and other aspects.Though I will reserve final judgement until after seeing Part II, this is overall an effective and exciting, if not perfect, continuation of the series that struggles with some of the same problems as the final book, but mostly overcomes them through excellent technical aspects and performances.

Those familiar with the art of Sanjay Leela Bhansali know how ably and ecstatically he transports his characters into a universe of seamless drama played at an octave where most cinematic symphonies crack up and topple over into high-pitched extravagance.

Not Bhansali’s cinema. Played at the highest possible scale, his drama unfolds in wave after wave of rapturous splendour. His characters occupy a space that defies definition and seduces audiences into celebrating a state of sublimity and splendour. Ethan’s inert physicality is alchemized into an ambience of animated joy. His spirit dances and sings at the sheer pleasure of every moment that is given to him to live. He radiates joy. We feel his profound happiness at the gift of life.
No film in living memory has brought out the sheer blessing of being alive with such spirit and glory. While Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Devdas’ in Bhansali’s opulent opera was a character broken in spirit, Hrithik’s Ethan in ‘Guzaarish’ is irreparably damaged in body. But his spirit soars, his eyes light up like thousands of stars every time Sophie walks in.

That Sophie is played by Aishwarya Rai is a stroke of genius that goes a long way in giving ‘Guzaarish’ its flavour of exceptional elegance. No other director brings out the quiet grace and the understated beauty of this screen diva’s personality with as much intelligence and spontaneity as Bhansali. In ‘Guzaarish’, Aishwarya is far more delicate and nuanced in conveying the unspoken pain of a love that has no tomorrow than she was in ‘Devdas’.Aishwarya imbues her role with a resplendent grace. Love in ‘Guzaarish’ is expressed with subtle smirks, gentle smiles and hints of a smothered passion that could erupt any time, if only destiny didn’t choose to be so mean to the spirited.The scenes between Ethan and Sophie, the backbone of Ethan’s spine-challenged life, radiate an inner beauty and wisdom and underline the director’s enormous understanding of the self-negation that a love relationship requires.

‘Guzaarish’ is Bhansali’s most tender and evocative film to date. It layers the pain of a dying body with the passion of an unstoppable spirit as manifested in Hrithik’s skilled and effortless performance as a quadriplegic who pledges to make every moment of his limited ’sau gram zindagi’ pleasurable for himself an those around him.

Barring Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Black’ there has never been a better performance in a Bhansali film than Hrithik’s in ‘Guzaarish’. He grabs Ethan’s role and makes the dying character come alive in delightful waves of provocative histrionics. And if we’re talking chemistry between Hrithik and Aishwarya, then let’s get one thing clear – this ain’t ‘Dhoom’. It’s something far deeper and satisfying.

The other performance that catches your attention is Aditya Roy Kapoor’s. He is natural and vivacious and in-sync with the film’s spirit of celebrating life. Monikangna Dutt is a looker. In her limited space, she lends some appeal to the proceedings. Suhel Seth, Shernaaz Patel and Rajit Kapur also make a lingering impact in a film that you carry home with you in an inviolable place in your heart.A word about Bhansali’s music score. The songs communicate the rich tapestried emotions of lives that are determined to smile through an extraordinary tragedy. Every piece of music and song in ‘Guzaarish’ echoes the film’s incandescent soul.

The film’s technical excellence, particularly Sudeep Chatterjee’s cinematography, is not dazzling and flamboyant in the way it was in ‘Devdas’. In ‘Guzaarish’, the appeal is far more delicate and subtle. The deep but sober colours on screen reach out to you to enrich your life in ways that cinema was always meant to, until it was waylaid by the hooligans and imposters posing as filmmakers.‘Guzaarish’ is the real thing. A big, beautiful, dazzling emotional movie experience. You won’t see a better film this year.

Films with faction backdrop had become a fad for Nandamuri clan. Once Balakrishna looted the Box Office with films like Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu with faction backdrop. Story

Story goes like this… Ramakrishna (Kalyanram) is the younger son of a retired mandal revenue officer (Chandramohan). While the elder son (Sameer) works in a construction company as a manager, his second son is a software engineer. Ramakrishna is the younger son who had a goal to become a good football player and play for India. They have a sister named Harita (Saranya Mohan). Ramakrishna loves Harita more than his life. Not only Harita, he loves his entire family. He is in the habit of settling disputes in a peaceful manner while he was with his family. At the same time, he bashes anyone without any mercy when he was off the family. Harita takes the help of her brother for silly things too. Once, Harita disappears and the entire family searches for her but to no avail. Almost the entire family ignores her, but Ramakrishna doesn’t. His family insists Ramakrishna to utilize the opportunity to play football at national-level. When he was on his way to Delhi, Ramakrishna comes across Harita in the railway station and comes to know that she was cheated by her lover, Chinababu (Shyam), son of Muthyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a notorious factionist. Ramakrishna in order set things right joins the faction family as a goon. How he settled his sister’s marital life forms part of the climax.

Story:

It is a very ordinary story with no regular jerks in the narration. Sachin (Dhyan) a television channel anchor is known for his style and attractive measures. The opponent channel anchor Sonia (Lekha Washington) is asked to join Sachin in getting more knowledge and trick. This is what Sonia dislikes. But it is inevitable for Sonia to join Sachin in hosting programs. It is when Sonia is depressed because she is not able to suit the boy her parents have selected the intelligence of Sachin works out. The ordinary looking Sonia turns ultra modern and obviously Raj Deshpande (Pramod Hegde) takes liking to Sonia. As the days pass Sonis finds the aristocratic style of Raj Deshpande is overburden in leading the life. When Sonia comes again to Sachin it is time for Sachin to narrate his tale of woes.

The Story:
Peter Highman is a well-dressed, uptight architect who needs to return home to LA in order to be present at the birth of his first child. Peter knows it will happen in just a couple of days because he and his wife, Sarah (Michelle Monaghan), have scheduled the birth by cesarean section.

Ethan Tremblay is a wannabe actor, a man-child carrying his dead father's ashes in a coffee can. Ethan wants to get to Hollywood (not Los Angeles, as he stresses to Peter), has a packet full of head shots and unbridled optimism about his chances for a career in the entertainment world.

Under normal circumstances, Peter and Ethan would never meet. But they do, and that sets in motion a chain of events that could only happen in a road trip comedy. Ethan and Peter's vehicles run into each other outside the airport, their baggage gets mixed up, the words 'bomb' and 'terrorist' are uttered on a plane, and voila! Peter and Ethan are both placed on the no-fly list by an unforgiving TSA agent (Matt Walsh) who suggests that if Forrest Gump could make his way cross country, then Peter's sure to be able to handle the logistics.However, Peter doesn't have his luggage and has lost his wallet thus making it impossible to rent a car. Ethan's got a limited amount of money and no social skills but a big heart, so he offers the unfriendly architect a ride to California.

Now Peter, he doesn't just dislike Ethan, he hates him. He hates his clothes, his dog, his perm, hates the questions he asks, and is not supportive at all of Ethan's career choice. Ethan accepts that Peter is basically a massive jerk but tries to get along with him anyway. Did I mention Ethan's a little off and is barely able to function without someone reminding him to use the toilet?As they make their way toward the West Coast, Peter and Ethan go through a series of trials and tribulations - purchasing pot, launching their car off a freeway overpass, making a wrong turn into Mexico - before finally realizing they might just be friends. For Colored Girls Full Film Review : It’s too bad Tyler Perry couldn’t take a cue from his film’s title, which was chopped down from For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, the 1975 Ntozake Shange play upon which the film is based, to simply For Colored Girls. Just like his name attracts massive amounts of moviegoers, it works like a charm when it comes to casting, too. Yes, it’s thrilling to print a massive list of famous names on your roster, try to adapt an iconic play and express a hefty handful of heavy-duty messages, but when it came to actually making those elements thrive in a film, it proved to be far more than Perry could handle.

Phylicia Rashad is Gilda, the manager of a New York City apartment building and the unofficial housemother, especially when it comes to her next-door neighbor Tangie (Thandie Newton). Night after night Tangie brings a new guy back to her place and sends them packing early the next morning, however, her younger sister, Nyla (Tessa Thompson), is dealing with an entirely different situation. She’s thrilled about finally losing her virginity, but her world comes crashing down when she finds out she’s pregnant. Even worse? Her mother (Whoopi Goldberg) is entirely consumed by her religious beliefs and would only shun Nyla for her sin.

Then there’s Janet Jackson as the big time magazine editor with an attitude, Joanna. When she isn’t tossing folks seeking charitable donations like Juanita (Loretta Devine) out of her office, she’s busy bossing around her longtime assistant Crystal (Kimberly Elise). As if life at work isn’t hard enough, at home Crystal has to deal with her abusive husband and care for her two young children. Gilda’s got her eye on the situation and even takes it upon herself to summon a social services agent, Kelly (Kerry Washington). Kelly also ends up consoling Anika Noni Rose’s character, Yasmine, after a vicious sexual assault.

Clearly the roster is quite large and that’s For Colored Girls’ biggest problems; barely any of the characters are fully developed. Each and every one of them is dealing with a very real and serious problem, however, only a few manage to convey the severity of their situation to the point at which the audience can sympathize with their plight. When it comes to the rest, it’s just too hard to care.

The performances and dialogue are flat almost across the board. The drab begins right from the start when Perry delivers an awkward montage of his leading ladies as they recite Shange’s words, in voiceover, overlapping as it goes from one character to the next. The words completely lose their meaning thanks to the lifeless recitations and come across as preachy more than anything.

The words directly from Perry’s pen don’t fare well either. Every character’s situation is as formulaic as they come, which is primarily due to the fact that they’re extremely underdeveloped. Perry starts off fantastically, providing detailed introductions to each woman, but doesn’t seem to know where to go from there and when he hits that wall, just tosses the character into some devastating situation. Yasmine goes from an innocent dance teacher looking for the right man to a battered rape victim and while Nyla goes from a bubbly dance student to the victim of a shady and seemingly mentally unstable abortionist (Macy Gray). Perry certainly knows how to rip your heart out with these moments; if only he was capable of properly padding them so they came across as aiming for something more than sheer shock value.

For most of the film, every actress simply walks through, reading lines. They’re not trying to portray a character, merely convey some grandiose message that has no weight in the context of the film. The sole actress who is not only guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes, but hold your attention throughout the film, is Elise. Her character is quite subdued at the onset, but when she runs into her traumatizing situation, your heart will break right along with hers. The horrific nature of the moment is overwhelmingly powerful in and of itself, but it’s Elise’s honest performance that makes it that much more emotional. Thompson does quite well in her role as well, but the part of Nyla, like most of the characters, only strikes a chord when she’s down. The moment she overcomes her obstacle, she’s a bit of a bore.

It’s impossible to pin point one major problem with For Colored Girls for everything is just so-so at best. Perhaps Perry was just too concerned with shoving some extravagant point about the hardships faced by women of color in our faces because just about ever other element of the film is devastatingly weak. The majority of the action is missed thanks to poor camera work, the editing is sloppy, the performances are bland, the characters are stale and, to top it all off, Perry desperately tries to lift his fallen characters up by forcing all of their stories to converge so the film can end with a star-studded, but unintentionally silly group hug.

Shock Story:it is all about a psychic female protagonist Suma in the huge house. She is affected with illusion. Such hallucination in her takes the life of two persons who come inside the house. After a long pestering Ramesh Aravind enters the house on a rainy night. Ever since his arrival the only living in the house Suma develops lot of suspicion. At the interval point a thief pretending as cop Vinodkumar (Ninasam Ashwath) arrives inside the house. The hatred between Ramesh Aravind and Ninasam Ashwath in fact further spoils the mood. The psychic Suma Guha kills after the other is the rest of the film.

Golmaal 3 Movie Review " Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om was the huge Diwali hit of 2007. It was a cute, lovable nostalgia trip back to '70s Bollywood and a kind of a remake of Karz. I guess it takes two or three years for an inspiration to become a big budget movie.It's kind of weird then how both the Diwali releases this year are set in the 1970s. One of them completely. And the other one, in parts. They are both comedies. Both spoof Bollywood. And in fact, have similar jokes on the movie Ghajini or Saif and Kareena, or Saifeena as we call them.

We'll start with Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 of course. The 70s bit here concerns a gentleman called Mithun Chakroborty. He is the disco dancer:
zindagi mera gaana, main kisika deewana... That's what he tells his girlfriend's father. That father is Prem, Prem Chopra.It's a poor boy, rich girl spoof. And it's the size of an entire movie. It could have been a skit on MTV or Channel V. If it hasn't appeared there already. Actually this whole film could've been a series of second rate gags on a show like Laughter Challenge where guys like Sidhu crack up on anything.Almost all the dialogues here is a gag on Bollywood or one of the celeb types. If the movie industry had a screening of this film, they'd have the most laughs. For most of us, it gets quite tiring and unfunny beyond a point.

How about a story then? Well, that's inspired from the '70s as well, or Basu Chatterjee's Khatta Meetha, to be more precise.There's an old man, that's Mithun, who couldn't marry his sweetheart, played by Ratna Pathak Shah. Both remained single forever. Kareena Kapoor plays cupid. She sets up these old people to get married now.

Now the old man has adopted three roughians who stay with him, that's Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu. The old lady has two aged orphans, that's Ajay Devgan and Shreyas Talpade. Both these gangs can't stand each other.They also have a set each of comic villians behind them. They also have different stories of their own. There are so many stories. The missing link here then is the movie itself. There is nothing to hold it together.Now, Golmaal 1 was a sleeper hit of 2006. Golmaal 2, a second rate movie, became a hit as well. This explains this third part. It has 6 main actors to juggle around with. Even more comedians. The filmmakers believe if they can have one gag for each actor, few corny dialogues from everyone, they should be set.Who knows. They're probably right. This is an entertainment starved audience. And it is a festive weekend. After all "Jab Harsha hai toh Bhogle hai. Jab Asha hai toh Bhosle hai." If you can make sense of that line. You can make sense of this movie!
